With the COVID-19 pandemic affecting investment, capital liquidity and causing multiple levels of uncertainty in the global business outlook it is tempting for businesses to defer any plans for improving their team or the way they operate. A fair question is ‘Why should I invest now, when the outlook is so difficult to predict?’
My answer is simple;
As we enter a period of heightened competitiveness, with less global investment forthcoming, companies that need to bid, win and execute projects will need to maximise their competitive advantages to survive. At pmhit we believe that people represent the unique resource that can be improved at the swiftest pace and, when they are working to their maximum potential, generate major improvements to a company’s performance.
Any organisation that executes projects with unfocused teams, with systems that are overblown and where opportunity is lost due to poor decision making, will not come through this period.
pmhit works in collaboration with organisations to get improved results by focusing on the team, their decisions and their environment. Giving the team the tools to make the right calls and supporting them by removing unnecessary processes that don’t add value.
It’s a simple approach, and those that take it can achieve the results necessary to combat this crisis.
There are many thought pieces on ‘Who will be the winners and losers from the COVID-19 pandemic’. Investing in your people and maximising your returns is the best way to be on the right side of that equation.
